
The placement process starts with the finalists and recent graduates of selected VTIs, UTCs and Universities who attended a 3-day training on all four "ReadytoWork" modules. ReadytoWork graduates are highly employable through comprehensive training in the essential modules work skills, people skills, money skills and entrepreneurship. Upon successful completion of the course, the "ReadytoWork" graduates register onto a matching platform where they attempt a trade specific skills test to verify their competency level. This ensures that our matched interns meet the meets the needs of employers.
The matching platform will regularly communicate opportunities available within companies for eligible and interested candidates to apply. To proceed to the next level, these candidates are required to attempt trade/course-specific skills test to ensure that matched interns meet the requirements of their future work environment. Candidates who pass the skills test will be shortlisted and invited by the respective company for a face to face interview. Mutual agreements are then reached between the employer and successful candidates in terms of when to begin work, etc. Our internship quality standards support companies in finding an agreement and planning a productive internship.
At the end of the internship period, the company may decide to offer the graduate a formal job or recommend him or her somewhere else for employment. By giving a recommendation, the employer increases the chances of the graduate getting an employment in the labour market.
